E. T. Tucker has been a writer and creative supervisor at Better Homes & Gardens Book Clubs and a nonfiction editor at the Atlanta History Center Museum and Historic Houses and Marmac Publishing, as well as a freelance writer and actress. She received a B.A. from Furman University, majoring in literature and minoring in theater.
She has studied picture book writing under author Laurel Snyder at the Decatur Writers Studio and is an active participant in SCBWI, ReFoReMo, Storystorm, and the 12 x 12 Picture Book Challenge.
Elizabeth lives with her husband, sons, and cats in Decatur, Georgia, home to a terrific library and the fabulous Little Shop of Stories bookstore. In addition to writing and reading, she climbs trees, travels, and gets together with her groups: two writing groups, a handwork group, and a just-for-talking group (that sometimes goes camping).
Her very favorite thing to do, though, is read books aloud to her children. Even though they can now pick her up, instead of the other way around, she doesn’t think they’re too old to be read to, and, fortunately, neither do they.
